AEE Twin Cities Scholarships

 

The Twin Cities AEE Chapter is once again offering educational scholarship opportunities to qualified candidates!  The AEE National Organization awards scholarships as well, and your information can also be submitted for the National awards in addition to any awards from the Twin Cities Chapter.  Please see the information below  - the process is competitive and funds are limited so apply soon if interested!

The Twin Cities AEE Chapter awarded two $1500 scholarships in 2025 and will again offer up to two $1500 scholarships in 2026!   All scholarship applications must be sent electronically to the Twin Cities Chapter no later than April 24th, 2026 (though earlier submittal of applications is recommended).

PURPOSE:  To encourage qualified practitioners in energy engineering, energy management, and sustainability by awarding scholarships to further education in those fields. 

ELIGIBLE STUDIES:  Scholarships shall be available to undergraduate and graduate degree candidates who are enrolled in engineering/sustainability related programs at accredited colleges or universities. Scholarship funds are to be used for courses directly related to energy engineering, energy management, and/or sustainability.

APPLICATION CHECKLIST:

?         Student Application:

o    Download and fill out the US STUDENT APPLICATION or the INTL STUDENT APPLICATION.

?         Current Transcripts:

o    Unofficial transcripts are accepted and should indicate dates, school name(s), and complete student identification. Each application is subject to audit and review. For international applicants, all supporting documentation must be translated into English.

?         Essay:

o    200-300-word essay indicating why you want to pursue a career in the energy industry, your real financial need, and what your professional/personal goals are.

?         Recommendation Letter:

o    This could come from a school faculty member, AEE Chapter leader, corporate, or non-profit entities. No more than two letters of recommendation per applicant.

?         Additional Documentation:

o    You can provide additional information on any awards you’ve received, volunteer records, or other relevant experience you want us to consider with your application (no more than two pages).
